Requirements
Must:
- Hands-on experience with Java 8 or above
- Hands-on experience in writing JUnit tests

We are looking for a Java/AWS Developer to be a part of a multidisciplinary team, contributing to a high-profile programme for a central government department. You will help self-organise and foster a culture of learning and transparency using agile and lean methodologies. Your role will be pivotal in removing any blockers that might impede the pace of delivery while working on next-generation biometric capabilities and integrating with legacy systems across various departments.

This position offers a unique development opportunity to work on a large-scale public sector programme with an innovative market leader. As a Java/AWS Developer, you will be responsible for developing solutions and simulators as part of the end-to-end solution. We expect you to have an in-depth understanding of the software development lifecycle, strong technical abilities, an open-minded attitude, and a willingness to rapidly adapt and learn. Nice to Have Skills: - Docker - JavaScript frameworks: ReactJS and NodeJS preferred - AWS API Gateway and serverless technologies - Message brokers like Apache Kafka - BPM frameworks - Mustache templates - Experience in large-scale integration projects involving messaging, web services, and distributed systems - ELK stack - OpenStack platform - Agile development methodologies like Scrum and TDD
