Requirements
Must:
- Deep hands-on expertise in Windows Server design and deployment.
- Strong knowledge of Active Directory (AD), DNS, DHCP, Remote Desktop Services (RDS), virtualization platforms (Hyper-V/VMware), and failover clustering.
- Proven experience delivering full server builds from scratch.
- Strong communication and customer-facing skills.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement advanced Windows Server infrastructures tailored to customer needs.
- Build fault-tolerant Active Directory environments, including multi-site and high-availability configurations.
- Deploy and manage Remote Desktop Services, including session hosts, gateways, and application delivery.
- Configure high-availability DNS/DHCP and other core server components.
- Install and integrate customer applications into newly deployed server environments.
- Troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues and provide clear technical resolutions.
- Produce high-quality documentation, designs, and handover materials.
Description
We are looking for a Server Infrastructure Engineer with real technical depth—someone who has designed and deployed full Windows Server environments, not just maintained them. You will take ownership of customer projects from start to finish, delivering robust, scalable, and secure server solutions. We offer a starting salary between £40,000 and £47,500, depending on experience, with annual reviews. You will receive 25 days of paid holiday plus 8 bank holidays, and opportunities to progress within our well-established business. We're currently implementing private healthcare, which will be available in the future. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to join us.
