Requirements
Must:
- Experience working with founders, boards, and investors
- Comfort presenting plans and progress at board meetings
- Proven track record managing teams of ten or more
- Experience handling the full management cycle including hiring and performance management
- Previous responsibility for budgets, roadmaps, and architecture
- Experience managing outsourced teams and building internal capabilities
- Delivered complex products integrating hardware and embedded software
- Proficient in C++17 or later, with familiarity in Python and Rust
- Strong understanding of security standards, particularly ISO 27001
- Experience with embedded Linux, drivers, firmware, and ADC pathways
- Familiarity with Git, CI/CD processes, and automated testing frameworks
- Knowledge of hardware interfaces (SPI, I2C, UART, RS485, Ethernet)
Responsibilities
- Architect next generation cloud software for civil engineering, security, and defense
- Build and lead an in-house engineering team
- Drive transition from outsourced to in-house engineering capabilities
- Define and deliver on company milestones, roadmaps, and architectures
- Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget
- Conduct hands-on contributions to coding and software reviews
- Foster team development and performance management
- Collaborate effectively with senior leadership and cross-functional teams
