Must:
We are looking for candidates with strong technical expertise in Networking, Cloud & Hosting, Domain Services, Server OS, Storage, Virtualization, Databases, Endpoint Protection, and Microsoft 365. You should be proficient in cloud-based mail archiving solutions such as Mimecast and possess in-depth knowledge of Backup & Recovery solutions for hybrid environments. An advanced understanding of Cloud Infrastructure, specifically Azure, is essential. We also seek individuals skilled in solutions including Exchange, SQL Server, and SharePoint. Excellent communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences are necessary, alongside superior analytical and problem-solving abilities. A solid understanding of vendor licensing models and experience in disaster recovery planning, simulation, and execution is crucial. Finally, the ability to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines is required.
Responsibilities
As an Infrastructure Engineer, your responsibilities will include managing and optimizing our infrastructure, ensuring smooth operations across various platforms, and providing support for our cloud services. You will work closely with other team members to implement solutions that enhance our IT framework, conduct regular maintenance, and oversee system security. You’ll be tasked with troubleshooting issues and developing strategies for disaster recovery planning to ensure business continuity. Communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders to provide updates and technical guidance will also be part of your role.
Description
This interim position offers a day rate of £300 - £350, with the IR35 status yet to be determined but looking likely to fall outside IR35. The location is in Hull, with a hybrid working model that requires you to be onsite three days a week, while allowing you to work from home for two days. The duration of the contract is expected to be between three to six months.
