Requirements
Must:
- Extensive experience in embedded firmware development and system architecture
- Strong proficiency in C/C++, RTOS, and low-level interfaces (SPI, I2C, UART)
- Solid understanding of microcontrollers, SoCs, and hardware/software co-design
- Experience with system-level design, performance optimisation, and fault tolerance
- Background in safety-critical systems and compliance standards (desirable)
- Familiarity with modern development tools (Git, CI/CD, static analysis) (desirable)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience with real-time operating systems (e.g. FreeRTOS) (desirable)
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain embedded firmware for electronic test instruments and laboratory power supplies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design system architecture and integration
- Conduct performance optimisation and ensure fault tolerance in system designs
- Maintain compliance with safety-critical system standards where applicable
- Utilize modern development tools to enhance workflow and maintain code quality
- Troubleshoot and debug embedded software issues as they arise
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in product development and engineering processes
