Responsibilities
- We work within our Cloud Services Group to help ensure the ongoing reliability, operation, security, and evolution of our customer Azure platforms.
- We design and implement systems and processes that deliver high availability, reliability, and scalability.
- We monitor systems, respond to incidents, and automate processes to prevent and resolve issues.
- We work as part of a team to ensure ongoing platform operation, security, reliability, efficiency, and governance.
- We support development and engineering teams in building and supporting highly available, scalable solutions.
- We are accountable for delivery and support of production and non-production systems within the Azure ecosystem.
- We continuously improve operational processes and tooling for building, deploying, and managing systems.
- We develop and maintain automated tooling and processes for build, deployment, and platform/configuration management.
- We maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines.
- We carry out performance tuning and capacity planning to align with client business needs.
- We work in or support implementation teams on Azure migration projects and managed service onboarding.
- We maintain 24x7 availability to support the operation of production systems.
- We participate in incident management and post-mortem activities to identify root causes and improve reliability.
- We identify opportunities to improve system performance and reliability and develop plans to implement those improvements.
- We provide guidance and training to other team members on SRE and DevOps best practices for building and operating reliable, scalable systems.
- We stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends related to system reliability and performance.
- We collaborate with development, operations, and other teams to ensure systems meet reliability and availability goals.
- We take on other reasonable responsibilities needed to support business activities within the Redcentric Group.
Description
We are Redcentric, working within our Cloud Services Group with a team of forward-thinking and experienced engineers focused on customer Azure platforms. This role is UK based only and supports our ongoing customer service and success by improving reliability, security, scalability, and operational excellence across our Azure ecosystem. We offer the opportunity to work closely with development, operations, and implementation teams on Azure migration and managed service onboarding projects, while contributing to a culture of continuous improvement, high quality, and customer satisfaction.
