Requirements
Must:
- I seek candidates with experience in JavaScript, and ideally Node.js, as well as related technologies and frameworks.
- A strong academic background is essential, including a 2:1 or 1st class honours degree from a leading university, alongside AAB at A Level (or equivalent UCAS points).
- You should have the ability to quickly learn new technologies, as the field of JavaScript sees constant innovations, and staying updated is crucial for success.
- Knowledge of Python and Java will be considered beneficial.
- Good communication skills are a must.

Responsibilities
In this role, you will work on web applications using a diverse set of tools primarily based around JavaScript technologies. Opportunities exist to work across the entire stack. The current tech stack includes:
- Web (UI): JavaScript (backbone.js, d3.js, three.js, pdf.js), Less/CSS
- Web (Backend): Node.js, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, Redis
Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing, deploying, and maintaining web application infrastructure.
- Acting as a tech innovator and bringing forward your ideas to the team.
- If you are eager, there will also be opportunities to mentor junior members of staff.
