Requirements
Must:
I am looking for candidates with several years of commercial experience in a Software Engineer or Developer role. Proficiency in JavaScript is essential, and experience with Node.js and related technologies/frameworks is ideal. You should have a strong academic background, including a 2:1 or 1st class honours degree from a leading university, accompanied by AAB at A Level (or equivalent UCAS points). It is important that you can quickly grasp new technologies, particularly as the landscape of JavaScript is ever-evolving. Familiarity with Python and Java would be an added benefit. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are also necessary.

Responsibilities
In this role, you will provide leadership on technical decisions for the development of our web-based application. You will be responsible for developing, deploying, and maintaining our web application infrastructure. I expect you to act as a tech innovator, presenting new ideas to the team. You will work on web applications that utilize a diverse toolset focused on JavaScript technologies. While there will be opportunities to work across the stack, our current tech stack includes:
- Web (UI): JavaScript (backbone.js, d3.js, three.js, pdf.js), Less/CSS
- Web (Backend): Node.js, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, Redis
