Requirements
Must:
- At least five years of experience in team management within a data analytics environment.
- Six or more years of relevant experience in roles such as business analyst, data analyst, or statistical analyst.
- Proficiency in SQL scripting, data warehousing, statistical analysis tools, Microsoft Excel, and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Amazon QuickSight); experience in extracting and processing data using SQL and Excel.
- A degree or equivalent qualification in Statistics, Computer Science, or Mathematics.
- Proven track record of successfully managing a data analytics function.
- Experience in translating advanced analytics capabilities into measurable business outcomes.
- Strong communication skills to convey complex AI concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Familiarity with the Azure data platform.
- Skills in data architecting, including creating Entity, Logical, and Physical Data Models.
- Ability to develop a Data Dictionary for use in new systems design.
- Experience in scripting languages, such as Python, for data parsing and analysis.
- Familiarity with statistical modeling languages/tools like R or SAS.
- Knowledge of data mapping and migration tools and techniques, ETL, and data normalization.
- Experience with data quality initiatives, including baseline measurement and improvements.
- Proven capability in scaling and optimizing mature data platforms with a focus on enterprise-wide adoption.
- Understanding of AI/ML implementation strategies and their practical applications in business contexts.
- Experience with Generative AI technologies, including large language models (LLMs) and their implementation within organizations.
- Experience in developing AI-powered solutions to enhance business intelligence capabilities.

Description
We seek an experienced Data and AI leader to join our established Analytics function, reporting directly to the CIO. This highly influential role will require you to strategically partner with leaders across our FTSE250 company to foster a data-driven culture and promote the responsible adoption of approved large language models (LLMs).
