Requirements

Must:
We are looking for candidates with demonstrable experience in a Service Desk or Field Engineer role. You should have a strong understanding of IT principles and Microsoft Windows Server/Desktop environments, along with excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills for both remote and on-site situations. Familiarity with networking technologies such as TCP/IP, Firewalls, and Routing/Switching is essential. Experience with Azure Active Directory, Backup/DRaaS technologies, and IaaS environments is highly desirable. You should also possess strong knowledge of Intune, Conditional Access, and related security frameworks. Additionally, you must be comfortable running, patching, and terminating cabling as part of new hardware installations. A current and valid UK driving license is essential for this role.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will provide advanced on-site and remote technical support to our clients, efficiently and professionally resolving escalated issues. You will collaborate with clients to understand their environments, anticipate their needs, and recommend improvements. Supporting and mentoring other engineers when required will be part of your responsibilities, ensuring high standards across the service desk. You will also be tasked with installing, configuring, and supporting a wide range of IT hardware and software, including servers, workstations, and networking equipment. Additionally, you will maintain security and compliance across client environments using technologies such as InTune, Conditional Access, and DRaaS solutions.

You will take ownership of complex technical issues, diagnose root causes, and implement solutions that make a real difference, predominantly at various client sites. The right candidate will not only be technically capable but also confident, proactive, and a great communicator. This field-based role primarily serves clients around Berkshire, Hampshire, and Wiltshire. We provide a company car and mobile phone allowance.
