Requirements
Must:
- Strong commercial experience with ASP.NET using C# in .NET Core or .NET 6
- Solid experience with ASP.NET, MVC, Web APIs, Git-based version control, HTML, JavaScript, and Microsoft SQL Server
- Strong theoretical and practical understanding of modern software development principles, including security best practices
- Experience with front-end technologies such as React, Blazor, or legacy AngularJS
- Familiarity with Entity Framework, Kibana, Grafana, test-driven development, and agile ways of working
- Exposure to event-driven platforms, microservices architecture, containerisation, Kubernetes, or Microsoft Azure is advantageous
- Proactive and organised, comfortable managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills with the ability to contribute confidently in meetings and build strong working relationships
- Commitment to continuous learning and knowledge sharing
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain reliable, scalable software that supports customers in managing and growing their businesses
- Write clean, maintainable code and contribute ideas to future development
- Deliver development sprints to agreed timelines
- Support and motivate an agile development team, coordinating sprint activity and completing code reviews
- Ensure stories are delivered to a high standard
- Coach others, share knowledge, and raise the teams overall technical capability
- Design and implement feature enhancements, maintenance updates, and new technical capabilities across the platform
- Build and maintain server-side services, APIs, and databases supporting client-side applications
- Analyse issues across multiple layers of the system to identify and resolve root causes
- Plan, prioritise, and coordinate sprint and release activity based on risk, dependencies, and delivery timelines
- Focus on code quality through regular code reviews, documentation creation, and adherence to best-practice development standards
- Demonstrate ownership, accountability, and strong decision-making while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams
