Requirements
Must:
- We are looking for an experienced IT professional with strong experience in a helpdesk or IT support environment.
- We need someone with strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
- We require solid experience with Microsoft 365, particularly Excel, including VBA.
- We are seeking someone with a good understanding of Windows and Windows Server environments.
- We value strong communication skills and a collaborative approach.
- We are looking for someone with an interest in infrastructure and how systems connect and operate.
- Basic understanding of SQL is desirable but not essential.
- We need a proactive person with a willingness to learn and develop.
- You should be adaptable, organised, and comfortable working in a changing environment where priorities can shift quickly.
Responsibilities
- We will rely on you to take ownership of escalated technical issues across 1st to 3rd line support.
- You will diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network problems.
- You will support and guide junior colleagues, including mentoring others.
- You will work closely with Windows Server environments, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and virtualisation platforms such as Hyper-V.
- You will troubleshoot network issues, including DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, VLANs, and firewall-related problems.
- You will support internally developed business applications and tools, working with stakeholders and developers to resolve issues and improve usability.
- You will contribute to IT projects such as system upgrades, hardware deployments, migrations, and process improvements.
- You will help improve processes and documentation.
- You will play a key part in maintaining stable, secure, and high-performing systems.

We are a busy organisation based in Nottinghamshire, and this is an office-based role offering a salary of up to £32k. This is a hands-on and technically varied opportunity for an experienced IT professional who enjoys solving complex problems, supporting users, and improving the systems that underpin our business.
