Requirements
Must:
- Hands-on experience with data validation and reconciliation/ETL testing/Data Migration
- Microsoft Fabric knowledge and hands-on with Lakehouse architecture and integrations
- Understanding of Power BI
- Experience in validating pipelines built with Azure Data Factory and orchestration
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server
- Testing across Data warehouses
- Experience with database or ETL automation tools
- Experience working on large-scale data transformation or migration programmes (desirable)
- Background in financial services or regulated environments (desirable)
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive test strategies covering data migration, integration, and reporting layers.
- Lead testing across data warehouse solutions and database automation to ensure high performance and stability.
- Ensure data integrity across multiple data layers, from ingestion through to reporting outputs.
- Establish robust testing frameworks for large-scale database and data platform environments.
- Work closely with developers, product owners, and project stakeholders to align testing with delivery milestones.
Description
We are seeking an experienced Test Lead with strong data expertise to support a major data transformation programme. This role offers an opportunity to lead quality assurance across complex data environments, ensuring the accuracy, reliability, and performance of critical data platforms. The successful candidate will play a key role in defining the testing strategy and overseeing execution across data migrations, warehousing solutions, and reporting layers. The position is contract-based for 9-12 months, located in Sheffield (hybrid work model), with a focus on modern data platform initiatives.
