Must:
I am looking for a Production Support (SRE) specialist with strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to identify root causes and propose effective solutions. You should have experience with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and configuration management. Proficiency in database technologies such as Sybase or DB2 is essential, along with experience in Java and UNIX environments. Excellent communication skills are crucial, as you will need to articulate technical details to diverse audiences.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will manage incidents, problems, and change processes to ensure system stability. You will be tasked with identifying and implementing improvements that enhance application performance and workflows. Additionally, analyzing and resolving production issues, including performing root cause analysis and proactive follow-ups, will be a key part of your job. Effective communication with stakeholders during incidents and changes will also be vital, as will monitoring capacity metrics to identify trends and address bottlenecks to ensure business continuity.

This position is based in Birmingham and is a full-time permanent role with a salary to be determined.
