Requirements
Must:
- Proven experience as a Network Designer in a DevOps environment
- Strong knowledge of network design principles and technologies
- Familiarity with IPSec over Mobile/Broadband and Wi-Fi Access Points
- Experience with hardened customer routers, switching, and routing
- Understanding of load balancing and firewalls
- Ability to manage end-to-end network lifecycle processes
- Proficient in deploying security upgrades and optimizations
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to monitor service availability
- Self-starter with a passion for both high-level design and hands-on implementation
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain robust network solutions, migrating legacy designs to high-performance hardware
- Collaborate with product teams to take developments from conceptual phase to live operation
- Deploy critical upgrades and fixes to ensure network security and resilience
- Monitor service availability and resolve in-life technical issues
- Plan and execute platform changes, occasionally working overnight to support test teams
Description
We are a dynamic team responsible for designing and building the UKs largest Public Wi-Fi network and a highly resilient IoT ecosystem, based in Ipswich for a 3-month contract. We are looking for an experienced Network Designer who thrives in a DevOps culture. You will maintain a mission-critical core network while designing bespoke solutions to meet evolving customer requirements.
