Requirements
Must:
- Active SC Clearance is mandatory
- Deep, hands-on expertise in Enterprise Network Engineering
- Complex OSPF & BGP routing knowledge
- Design of resilient, high-availability traffic flows experience
- Extensive experience with Palo Alto firewalls
- Knowledge of network segmentation and Zero Trust architecture
- Experience in Data Center Architecture, including VXLAN / EVPN, VRF segmentation, and multi-site fabrics
- Familiarity with Arista (or equivalent) and F5 BIG-IP (LTM, APM, ASM)
- Scripting experience with Python and Ansible
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines (GitLab) and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and enhance enterprise network infrastructure across data centers, hybrid, and multi-cloud environments (Azure, AWS, OCI)
- Implement Palo Alto firewall policies aligned with Zero Trust principles
- Optimize complex OSPF and BGP environments for maximum resilience
- Replace manual tasks with Python, Ansible, and Terraform to drive speed and consistency
- Collaborate with Architecture and Cloud teams to ensure solutions are scalable and secure
- Drive the transition from legacy systems to VXLAN/EVPN fabrics and SD-WAN technologies
Description
We are looking for a Senior Infrastructure Engineer (NetDevOps) to join our team on a 12-month contract, with a preferred location in Newcastle, but other locations including Manchester, Leeds, Birmingham, or Blackpool are also available. You will have the flexibility of hybrid working, typically around 3 days on-site and 2 days remote. We offer a competitive pay rate of up to £650 per day (Umbrella), and this role requires active SC Clearance. This is an exciting opportunity to design and evolve large-scale enterprise network platforms, bridging traditional networking with modern cloud-integrated infrastructure.
