Requirements
Must:
- Hands-on experience with migrating large databases to Exadata ExaCS ExaCC platform.
- Experience with migrating databases to ATP/ADW.
- Design database consolidation to reduce OPEX spending.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior database architects and administrators.
- Conduct performance tuning, capacity planning, and security assessments.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in database technologies and cloud offerings.
- Implement and manage Exadata X9 hardware including persistent memory (PMem) and RDMA algorithms to optimize performance and reduce latency.
- Deploy and manage Exadata X11-10M98 hardware leveraging high-performance database servers and intelligent storage.
- Extensive knowledge and troubleshooting experience in RAC, RAT testing, ASM, Exadata, Performance tuning, Data Guard, and Physical/Logical DG Broker.
- Experience in database security (TDE, Audit Vault, OKV, etc.).
- Experience in OS administration (Linux, Solaris, virtualization, storage, ZFS, ZDLRA).
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage Exadata Cloud Service (ExaCS) database solutions.
- Develop and maintain database architecture strategies to support business goals.
- Lead the migration and integration of databases across multi-cloud environments including Oracle Cloud, AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
- Ensure high availability, scalability, and performance of database systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement database solutions that meet business requirements.
Description
We are seeking an Oracle DB Technical Architect for a 6-month contract position based in London, UK with a hybrid work model requiring 2 days in the office each week. The successful candidate will require an active Security Check (SC) clearance according to UK Government standards.
