Requirements
Must:
We are looking for a seasoned Oracle DBA Administrator with strong skills in Oracle DBA and experience with MySQL. You should demonstrate a willingness to learn and adopt new database technologies, preferably the latest versions. Knowledge of programming, particularly Python, for automation and integration, as well as an understanding of Unix shell scripting, is highly desirable.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will have operational ownership, where you'll own, troubleshoot, and resolve complex technical faults within our Enterprise Cloud Infrastructure. You will also provide escalated technical support to ensure system availability, managing Incidents, Service Requests, and Changes against strict SLAs/KPIs. We value a Continuous Improvement (CI) mindset, so you will actively apply CI methodology to drive efficiency and reduce waste in daily operations. Effective collaboration across matrix relationships, along with strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills, will be key.
Description
This is a 6-month contract position based in Birmingham, UK, with a hybrid work model (3 days/week in the office). The pay rate is circa £300 - £365 per day, and the role is inside IR35.
