Must:
We are looking for a seasoned Oracle DBA Administrator with strong, non-negotiable skills in Oracle DBA and experience with MySQL. You should demonstrate a willingness to learn and adopt new database technologies, preferably the latest versions. Highly desirable skills include programming in Python for automation and integration, as well as an understanding of Unix shell scripting.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will own, troubleshoot, and resolve complex technical faults within our Enterprise Cloud Infrastructure. You will provide escalated technical support to ensure system availability while managing incidents, service requests, and changes against strict SLAs/KPIs. Furthermore, we expect you to actively apply Continuous Improvement (CI) methodology to drive efficiency and reduce waste in daily operations. Effective collaboration and strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills are essential.
Description
This is a 6-month contract position located onsite in Sheffield, UK, with the potential for extension. The pay rate is circa £300 - £365 per day and falls inside IR35. We emphasize stability, automation, and continuous improvement in our mission to maintain our critical Oracle DB and MySQL systems within a dynamic Enterprise Cloud environment.
