Requirements
Must:
- Proven experience as a Platform Engineer or similar role in DevOps
- Strong expertise with Kubernetes and Terraform
- Knowledge of hybrid cloud infrastructure (on-premise and Azure)
- Proficiency in CI/CD automation tools such as GitHub Actions
- Experience with Azure services (e.g., AKS, Virtual Machines, Load Balancer)
- Excellent coding skills in Python
- Ability to mentor and guide junior engineers
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
Responsibilities
- Lead the evolution of the companys platform and infrastructure strategy
- Design and improve hybrid Azure on-premise environments
- Drive enhancements in Kubernetes platform functionality
- Build automation solutions using Terraform and Python
- Improve observability and monitoring across systems
- Mentor a Platform Engineer and shape platform best practices
- Collaborate closely with engineering teams to enhance developer experience and system reliability
Description
We are a highly successful FinTech business located in Central London, looking to hire a Lead Platform Engineer to help shape the future of our infrastructure and platform strategy. This is a high-impact role within a growing engineering team where you will have the opportunity to influence architectural decisions, mentor engineers, and remain deeply hands-on with modern infrastructure tooling. We build all our software in-house and have been investing heavily in our platform, observability, and cloud capabilities as we continue to scale. We offer a competitive salary of up to £110,000, a £15,000 bonus, and a hybrid working model (2-3 days per week in the office).
