Requirements
Must:
- Strong proficiency in SQL for complex querying and data modelling
- Strong proficiency in Python for scripting, API integration, and data automation
- Proven experience architecting and managing modern Cloud Data Warehouses (e.g. Snowflake, Databricks, or Azure Synapse)
- Experience building robust data pipelines using modern tools (e.g. Fivetran, CData, Airbyte, or Azure Data Factory)
- Knowledge of dimensional modelling concepts and experience designing semantic layers for BI tools
- Hands-on experience provisioning and managing cloud infrastructure using IaC tools such as Terraform
- Proficiency with version control and setting up CI/CD pipelines to automate testing and deployment
Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end design and implementation of our unified cloud data platform
- Utilize Infrastructure as Code to provision and manage resources
- Help re-define the roadmap for data maturity and automate intelligence for reporting
- Architect a modern multi-layered data structure for data transformation
- Proactively manage cloud compute and storage resources alongside the Head of Network and Infrastructure Services
- Establish a unified governance framework and implement data catalogue
- Identify isolated data pockets and unify them into the central platform
- Lead the technical migration of reporting and data assets to the new stack
- Eliminate manual interventions in reporting and implement continuous ingestion pipelines
- Partner with the Business Systems team to design optimized data models
- Implement business rules within the transformation layer for consistency
- Continuously optimize table structures for query performance
- Expand the platforms capabilities to support specialized needs across departments
- Lead the data integration strategy for Group related Companies for consolidated reporting
