Requirements
Must:
- 3rd level IT Technical education
- Minimum of 3 years in a similar technical support role
- Knowledge of IT architectures (Client/Server Systems)
- Broad experience with Operating Systems (Windows, Linux)
- Basic knowledge of MS Active Directory
- Knowledge in Databases (MS SQL) & SQL
- Understanding of computer networks (Ethernet, TCP/IP, firewalling)
- Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMWare, Hyper-V)
- Basic knowledge of software architecture
- Familiarity with Web Services and Payment Service Providers
Responsibilities
- Act as the first point of contact within the company for first-level support regarding incidents and problem management (hardware & software)
- Take ownership of problems until a solution is implemented at the customer's site and accepted
- Provide fast and reliable troubleshooting, as well as workarounds when necessary
- Ensure a high level of support using all available tools and participate in the On-call service
Description
We are a managed service provider in Belfast, committed to delivering a strong and high-quality service to our diverse client base. Due to our recent growth, we are looking to expand our team. As a System Support Engineer, you will be responsible for installing and configuring systems for new and existing customers. You will provide technical support for our products and collaborate with other technical team members and field engineers to resolve technical issues. We offer a competitive starting salary of £30-35k per annum, along with a company pension. Hybrid working is possible after the completion of training and the probationary period, and we provide generous annual leave in addition to statutory bank holidays.
