Requirements
Must:
- Strong programming expertise in C++14 or higher with extensive experience using Visual Studio for development, debugging, and performance optimization.
- Proven ability to design, implement, and maintain embedded software on RTOS platforms such as VxWorks, including target integration and validation.
- Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Design (OOD) principles.
- Strong unit testing skills using tools like MS Test Framework.
- Experience in interpreting and managing requirements through IBM DOORS, ensuring full traceability from definition to verification.
- Proven ability to collaborate closely with other teams (e.g., systems) to translate requirements into technical deliverables while ensuring alignment with project goals.
- Demonstrates ownership, attention to detail, and effective communication skills to deliver high-quality outcomes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong peer reviewing skills for source code and documentation.
Responsibilities
- Create high-quality, robust designs and code for embedded software development in electronic warfare systems.
- Fully document and record work products and maintain them under configuration management.
- Provide plans and progress reports to keep the project on track.
- Participate as part of an integrated project team, contributing to software development from end to end.
Description
- Experience delivering software within Agile and DevOps frameworks and actively contributing to sprint meetings is desirable. - Practical exposure to Continuous Integration (CI) environments and automated build and test pipelines is a plus. - Working knowledge of Azure DevOps for pipeline creation, build orchestration, and release management is beneficial. - Familiarity with DO-178C standards for safety-critical software development in aerospace and defense domains would be advantageous. - Confidence in presenting technical material to various stakeholders during discussions, technical reviews, and cross-functional collaborations is important. - Candidates should have an honors degree or equivalent in Electronics Engineering or another STEM-based subject. - UK citizenship is mandatory for background checks and SC clearance; current valid SC clearance is an advantage. - Candidates must be eligible for full security clearance with Sole British Nationality.
