Requirements
Must:
- I require candidates to be SC Cleared or eligible, which means you must have lived in the UK for at least 5 years.
- Proficient in automation testing, particularly with tools such as Selenium, Java/Maven, Cypress, or Playwright.
- Experience in API testing, both manual (using Postman or Insomnia) and automated (with Java/Rest Assured).
- Familiarity with BDD/TDD methodologies and frameworks such as Cucumber, JUnit, or TestNG.
- Understanding of CI/CD tools, specifically Jenkins and GitLab, along with basic Docker knowledge.
- Knowledge of accessibility testing standards (WCAG).
Responsibilities
- You will design and implement automated test scripts using tools including Selenium (Java), Cypress, or Playwright.
- Conduct API testing, leveraging tools like Postman or automating with Java Rest Assured.
- Execute automated test suites, log defects, and collaborate closely with developers to resolve issues.
- Maintain and enhance the reliability of tests, CI/CD integration, and overall framework improvements.
- Engage with cross-functional teams and participate actively in agile ceremonies.
Description
This is an exciting opportunity for me to work with a high-profile client in the public sector. I am looking for four experienced Test Engineers who are ready to contribute to a major digital transformation program in a complex, fast-paced Agile environment. The contract rate for this position is £340 per day (Inside IR35), with a start date in June 2025. The role offers hybrid working with locations primarily based in the Leeds hub and the option for remote work within the UK. Interviews and technical assessments will be part of the hiring process.
