Requirements
Must:
- Strong experience in software systems development, deployment, and commissioning.
- Expertise in DevOps practices and Agile methodologies.
- Proficiency with Atlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence).
- Experience in multi-site project delivery with a process- and methodology-driven approach.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills (fluent English).
- UK/NATO nationality (essential).
Desirable Skills:
- Background in Energy Management Systems (EMS), Distribution Management Systems (DMS), or Market Management Systems (MMS).
- Knowledge of system integration, IT infrastructure, and cybersecurity environments.
- Experience with Java or C++ development, software configuration management (TFS, SVN, GitHub), and multi-tier architectures.
- Understanding of Linux/Windows environments, Kubernetes, relational databases, and high-availability systems.
Responsibilities
As a Technical Delivery Manager, you will:
- Own and manage the project delivery model and act as the technical leader for the project.
- Work with cross-functional teams including Solution Design, Configuration Management, Integration, and Engineering to ensure successful software delivery.
- Build Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), track progress, and implement Agile methodologies (acting as Release Train Engineer, Scrum Master, or Product Owner when needed).
- Optimize deployment processes with CI/CD, DevOps practices, and test automation.
- Share accountability with the Project Manager for scope, risk, and problem management.
- Establish strong client relationships, ensuring technical alignment and meeting delivery commitments.
- Drive continuous improvement in delivery processes and measure success using key performance indicators.

We are working with a leading organization seeking an experienced Technical Lead (Delivery Manager) to join our team on a 6-month contract based in Edinburgh (23 days on-site per month). This role offers the chance to lead complex software delivery projects across multi-disciplinary teams, driving excellence in execution and client satisfaction. *Contract Details:* - Location: Edinburgh (Hybrid, 23 days on-site) - Duration: 6 months - Rate: TBC - likely £575-£675 per day inside IR35 - Start date: ASAP Please note that due to security checks, candidates must have lived in the UK for the last 5 years.
