Requirements
Must:
We are looking for a candidate with deep expertise in Posit Workbench, Connect, and Package Manager Administration. A strong understanding of the Slurm workload manager (including installation and configuration) is essential, along with proven experience in HPC platforms. Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Docker containers is also required. It would be beneficial if you have experience in the Life Sciences domain, knowledge of Azure Fundamentals, a background in Linux Administration, familiarity with Cgroups, and the ability to write automation using Packer and Ansible.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will administer and support Posit Workbench and associated tools. You will be responsible for installing and configuring HPC (Slurm) to support research computing environments. Building and managing Docker containers for various deployment needs will be key, along with automating infrastructure using tools like Packer and Ansible. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, sysadmins, and stakeholders, to solve complex technical challenges with a hands-on, analytical approach. Additionally, you will support and manage Kubernetes clusters and services while leveraging your Linux administration skills in managing workloads and environments.

This is an exciting opportunity to support high-impact projects in clinical and biostatistics environments with a global client. We are offering a competitive rate based on experience, and the position is inside IR35. The role is hybrid, requiring a minimum of 2 days onsite per week in either Hertfordshire (preferred) or London. We are looking for someone to start as soon as possible for a duration of 6 months.
