Requirements
Must:
- I have at least 7 years of hands-on Java development experience.
- I possess strong experience with Spring Boot, Java concurrency, and JUnit.
- I am familiar with Kafka or MQ for message-based architectures.
- I have strong SQL skills, ideally using Sybase or DB2.
- I understand Agile and DevOps practices.
- I have CI/CD experience using tools like Jenkins and GitLab.
- I demonstrate excellent problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills.
Responsibilities
- I will design and build scalable microservices using Java 11 and Spring Boot.
- I will develop and consume RESTful APIs.
- I will write and optimize complex SQL queries.
- I will implement automation testing and CI/CD pipelines.
- I will use version control systems such as GIT.
- I will ensure quality through code reviews and debugging.
- I will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop new features.
- I will participate in Agile ceremonies and adhere to SCRUM methodologies.
- I will optimize system performance and scalability.
- I will stay up to date with the latest Java and microservices trends.
Description
I am hiring Java Microservices Developers on a contract basis to join a fast-paced agile team delivering scalable, secure microservices-based solutions. This position is based in London with a hybrid work model, requiring 2 days onsite each week. The contract duration is 6 months, with a start date as soon as possible. The rate for this contract is £400 per day (Inside IR35). This is an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects within a modern tech environment utilizing Java 11, Spring Boot, and cloud-native CI/CD practices. Additionally, experience in frontend development (React, Angular, or similar), and familiarity with tools like Rally or ServiceNow, as well as awareness of accessibility and inclusive development practices, would be advantageous but are not required.
