Requirements
Must:
We are looking for a candidate with strong coding skills in Python or Node.js and hands-on experience with key GCP services, including Cloud Functions, Dataflow, Cloud SQL, IAM, and Apigee. An understanding of cloud-native application architecture is essential, along with experience in API gateway configuration. Proficiency in Excel VBA scripting and CI/CD experience with Azure DevOps or a similar tool is also required. We value strong problem-solving abilities and excellent communication skills. GCP certifications, such as Associate Cloud Engineer or Professional Cloud Developer, are desirable.
Responsibilities
In this role, I will expect you to develop and deploy serverless applications using Google Cloud Functions and build and optimize data pipelines with Google Cloud Dataflow. You will manage and query relational databases using Cloud SQL (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and implement file operations and workflow triggers through Cloud Storage. It's crucial that you configure access controls and permissions with Google Cloud IAM and integrate and manage APIs using Apigee API Management. Additionally, you will automate tasks using Excel VBA macros and other offline tools, maintain source code repositories, and CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps Repos and Git. Collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and quality delivery will also be a key part of your responsibilities.
Description
This is a 6-month contract position based in Warwick, UK, with a hybrid work model of three days onsite. The rate for this role is £480 per day (Inside IR35). The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy working with modern serverless technologies while collaborating effectively with diverse teams.
