Requirements
Must:
I am looking for candidates with strong experience in concurrency patterns, CLR, and scalable application design. A deep understanding of Azure services such as Functions, App Services, AKS, and Logic Apps is essential. Hands-on experience with Azure Cosmos DB, specifically in query optimization and throughput management, is a must. Familiarity with distributed systems and NoSQL data modeling, as well as proficiency with Git, version control, and CI tools, are also required. Desirable skills include advanced proficiency in C#, ASP.NET, and .NET Core, along with strong object-oriented design principles.
Responsibilities
In this hands-on role, I expect you to architect and develop cloud-native applications using Azure Cosmos DB (SQL & Mongo APIs). You will be responsible for designing and implementing partitioning strategies, indexing, and consistency models. Building reusable libraries and frameworks in C#/.NET or Node.js will be part of your tasks, as will the development and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps. You will need to monitor and optimize Cosmos DB performance using Azure Monitor & Application Insights and implement automated testing and unit test frameworks. Collaboration with solution architects and DevOps teams to integrate Cosmos DB into microservices is crucial, and ensuring compliance with security, governance, and data protection standards is a priority.
Description
This position is a 6-month initial contract located in Central London, starting as soon as possible, with a focus on the banking and financial services industry. The day rate for the Administrator role is between £400 and £450, while the Developer role ranges from £450 to £500, both inside IR35.
