Requirements
Must:
- Genuine interest in IT and the latest technology.
- Proven ability to precisely follow processes and understand process improvement.
- Keen eye for detail.
- Proven problem-solving ability.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Hands-on experience or training with CISCO (Firewalls, switches & routers).
- Familiarity with Windows Server.
- Knowledge of TCP/IP networks, DNS, DHCP, and VPN.
- Experience with Web Hosting & Microsoft IIS.
- SQL Server Administration skills (backing up databases, running scripts, and job scheduling).
- Understanding of Hyper-V.
- Knowledge of Active Directory and Group Policy.
- Experience with failover clustering and replication technologies.
- Managing and maintaining backups.
- Proficient with Powershell & Scripting.
- Familiarity with Azure and/or AWS Cloud.
Responsibilities
- Support, maintenance, and forward planning for company networking, servers, and communication equipment located in multiple data centres.
- Provide support for the companys departments desktop PCs, laptops, and mobile devices.
- Investigate and resolve issues with company systems.
- Deploy new products and software versions.
Description
We are a Reading-based company seeking a motivated Senior Engineer to join our Infrastructure team on a remote basis, with occasional travel to our Data Centre. In this role, you will support the Infrastructure Manager in running, maintaining, and enhancing our companys infrastructure.
