Requirements
Must:
We are looking for someone who meets the following criteria:
- Must be SC Cleared or eligible for SC Clearance.
- Proven experience in leading or directing a team of Java Developers.
- Experience in building robust automated test suites to support a continuous deployment environment, including implementing APIs for internal and external use.
- Involvement in 2nd-line support for applications and platforms, with experience in building server-side web applications.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Proficient in system administration and configuration management, with experience handling large data sets and scaling their storage.
- Experience in building and maintaining high-traffic websites, as well as a solid understanding of web architecture.
- Familiarity with Unix-like operating systems such as Linux and/or Mac OS X.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Lead and mentor a team of Java Developers to achieve project goals.
- Develop and maintain automated test suites that support continuous deployment.
- Design and implement APIs for both internal and external users.
- Participate in 2nd-line support of our applications and platforms, ensuring reliability and efficiency.
- Build server-side web applications and contribute to the overall architecture of our services.
- Communicate technical information effectively to team members and stakeholders with varied levels of technical expertise.
- Manage system administration tasks and tackle configuration management challenges.
- Scale large data sets and enhance storage solutions.
Description
This is a contract position for 12 months with the possibility of extension, based in Leeds, UK. The role offers a hybrid working arrangement, with 60% of the time spent onsite and 40% remote. The daily rate for this position is £700, and it falls inside IR35 via an umbrella company. We are excited to find a qualified candidate who is ready to contribute to our dynamic team!
