Requirements
Must:

- Familiarity with customer-facing applications and user interface design principles
- Proficiency in debugging and troubleshooting issues within software systems
- Basic understanding of data management and spreadsheet operations
- Effective communication skills and a collaborative mindset
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies
- 7 GCSEs total
- English GCSE grade D or above
- Other 6 GCSEs, including Maths, to be C or above
- Must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level than this apprenticeship in a similar subject
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the development of customer-facing applications, such as online ordering systems and artwork editing solutions
- Work on internal systems for production, workflow automation, and other in-house applications
- Develop standalone solutions to address specific business challenges, demonstrating problem-solving skills and creativity
- Troubleshoot and debug issues within existing software systems, ensuring smooth functionality and user satisfaction
- Engage in user acceptance testing to validate the performance and usability of developed applications
- Work with spreadsheets and data input, contributing to data management and analysis processes
- Participate in routine system maintenance activities to ensure optimal performance and security
- Provide support and assistance to internal users, addressing queries and resolving technical issues
- Stay informed about industry trends, tools, and best practices to enhance skills and contribute to ongoing innovation
Description
We are UYR, a technology-based design and print company specializing in designing, developing, and maintaining customer-facing applications, including online ordering systems, artwork editing solutions, and workflow automation. Our in-house software solutions cater to both internal processes and client interactions, ensuring a seamless and efficient experience. We offer the opportunity for you to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic team, working on diverse projects with increasing levels of complexity. Our working week is 37.5 hours, Monday to Friday, from 9 am to 5:30 pm.
