Requirements
Must:
- Knowledge of IT concepts such as DB design, DB layout, DB structures, DB stored procedures, DB tables, DB optimization, TCP/IP, and IT security concepts and practices
- Expertise in SQL Server with a good understanding of Oracle; knowledge of Informix, DB2, MongoDB, DynamoDB, and other databases
- Self-starter with a great attitude, capable of taking initiative and working with little supervision
- Ability to analyze and write business and technical specifications
- Experience interacting with IT and auditor teams
- Degree in information technology, computer information systems, or related field
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in database support and management
- Clear understanding of IT Operations, Software Development, and Release Management using GitHub
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail, analytical mind, and outstanding problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with tools such as GitHub, ServiceNow, Jira, and MS Office
Responsibilities
- Plan and manage capacity of database management systems
- Schedule database patching for production and lower environments
- Plan and strategize backup and disaster recovery processes
- Provide audit and governance requirements
- Maintain detailed technical documentation
- Assist in defining database strategy, architecture, standards, and procedures to preserve the integrity and security of company data resources
- Troubleshoot database problems and implement corrective measures as required
- Join our Database team as a Sr. DBA and design, implement, and maintain systems crucial to business functions
- Develop skills and expand abilities by working with new systems and software
Description
We are seeking a Lead DBA to join our team in London with a hybrid work arrangement, allowing three days a week in the office.
