### As the Group IT Infrastructure Manager, I require a strong background in networking, including CCNA-level skills and experience with Cisco, Fortinet, and Ruckus. You should be proficient in VLANs, VPNs, firewalls, and high-availability design. A solid understanding of hardware, IT security basics, and experience with rack servers and storage solutions is essential. You need strong Microsoft technology expertise, particularly in Windows Server, Active Directory, and Office 365. Knowledge of virtualization platforms like Hyper-V and VMware, as well as cloud services such as Azure and AWS, is expected. Familiarity with VoIP systems, cybersecurity measures, backup solutions like Veeam, and scripting languages including PowerShell or Python are important. Soft skills like strong communication, organization, and leadership capabilities are essential. Relevant certifications such as MCSE, ITIL, and CCNA are required, with additional certifications like CISSP, Security+, or PRINCE2 being desirable. ###

Responsibilities

In my role, I will be the visible, approachable leader across all sites, partnering with departments to deliver proactive, value-driven IT solutions. I will support management in strategic decisions and oversee daily IT operations to ensure smooth functioning. My responsibilities include managing hardware/software installations, procurement, and lifecycle management, along with maintaining system performance and strong security controls. I will proactively identify vulnerabilities, maintain robust disaster recovery strategies, and lead major infrastructure projects. Additionally, I will manage the IT budget, build vendor relationships, and foster a collaborative, customer-focused culture within the team, ensuring timely resolution of issues and continuous improvement in service delivery. ###

Description


The salary for this position is between £65,000 and £70,000, with full-time working hours from Monday to Friday. The location is Tamworth, on-site full time, and the role is permanent. Benefits include 23 days of annual leave plus bank holidays, the option to purchase additional leave, a health cashback plan, pension scheme, life assurance, and free parking. I am looking for a strong analytical thinker ready to drive our IT infrastructure and service delivery to align with long-term organizational goals.
