Requirements
Must:
- Experience in resolving complex technical issues.
- Familiarity with technologies that support endpoints in an enterprise environment.
- Experience in a customer-facing role.
- Knowledge of Endpoint Management tools such as SCCM, Intune, Autopilot, MDT, etc.
- Extensive knowledge of Windows 10 and Windows 11.
- Understanding of networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and LAN/VLAN/WAN.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as PowerShell, Batch, and VBScript.
- Strong research, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with the User Operations team, Service Desk, Field User team, and customers to resolve escalated technical issues.
- Conduct on-site hardware and software root cause fixes across multiple locations.
- Assist with large-scale projects that significantly impact customers and staff.
- Work in conjunction with other IT and business departments to ensure products and applications are fit for purpose.
- Maintain accurate documentation of systems and related business procedures.
- Design and develop training materials, training customers and staff on best practices for using technical products and applications.
- Ensure compliance with Health and Safety at work requirements, including fire and emergency precautions.
Description
We are seeking an Operations Analyst Engineer to support the delivery of efficient, technology-driven services within a leading UK electricity network operator. You will work closely with Operations Lead Specialist Engineers to provide technical support, resolve IT issues, and implement solutions that enhance the performance and reliability of electricity distribution systems. This position is a 6-month contract, likely to extend to 12 months, based in Plymouth with mostly remote working options available. The pay rate starts from £400 per day.
