Requirements
Must:
We are seeking candidates who possess a strong proficiency in core Java APIs, including collections, concurrency, and NIO. Experience with multithreaded systems and Java garbage collection is essential. Familiarity with design patterns such as Observer, Factory, and Singleton is expected. A solid background in test-driven development, UML, and object-oriented design is required. Proficiency in development tools like Eclipse or IntelliJ, GIT, Maven/Gradle, and continuous build servers is essential. Candidates should also have an understanding of benchmark algorithms and smart routing strategies such as VWAP, TWAP, and Arrival Price. Additionally, experience in agile methodologies and front office system design for algo trading is necessary. Responsibilities
In this role, I will rely on you to deliver core functional changes to our ETT strategy engines. You will implement framework-level enhancements and collaborate with quantitative trading groups to capture essential requirements. Your engagement in all stages of the development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, coding, unit testing, and supporting deployments, will be crucial to our success.

This contract position has a duration of 12 months, with the possibility of extension. The role is hybrid, requiring three days on-site in London/Bromley.
