IT Systems Administrator

In this hands-on, business-critical role, I will ensure that all internal IT systems run smoothly, securely, and efficiently. My key duties will include: - Installing, configuring, and maintaining company software and hardware - Managing network servers, storage solutions, and internal technology tools - Setting up user accounts, workstations, and access controls - Monitoring system performance and ensuring platform uptime - Troubleshooting IT issues and resolving outages quickly - Implementing and maintaining cybersecurity protocols, including firewalls and backups - Upgrading systems with new software releases, patches, and hardware - Producing and maintaining technical documentation, IT policies, and training materials - Training employees on company software tools (e.g., password-management systems) - Establishing and maintaining a documented IT security policy - Ensuring CCTV and digital security infrastructure is correctly configured and operational --- Requirements: To thrive in this role, I ideally require: Essential: - Experience in IT support, IT administration, or systems management - A strong understanding of hardware, software, and networking fundamentals - The ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues independently - Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail - Good communication skills, including the ability to train non-technical staff - A proactive mindset with the ability to manage workload across multiple systems Desirable: - Some web development experience or interest - Computational/electronics hardware experience or interest - Experience with CCTV or access-control technologies - Familiarity with Linux systems, cloud platforms, or virtualization - Previous experience in a start-up or fast-paced technical environment - The ability to produce and maintain IT documentation and policies ---
