Requirements
Must:
We require a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar IT systems or infrastructure role. You should have strong knowledge of Windows, Linux, and Mac environments, as well as experience with Microsoft Azure and cloud-based infrastructure. Confidence in troubleshooting and resolving complex hardware and software issues is essential. Familiarity with networking technologies, including switching, Wi-Fi, DNS, and DHCP, is also necessary. You should be skilled in Active Directory, Office 365, and backup solutions, and possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills. It is important to be customer-focused with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, operating systems, and applications. You will monitor and support local and regional networks, servers, and production systems, providing technical support both in-person and remotely to users across the region. Managing user accounts, Active Directory, email systems, DNS, and DHCP will be part of your duties. You will also maintain data backups, ensuring integrity and adherence to security protocols, assist with the deployment of new applications, updates, and infrastructure projects, and keep system documentation and asset records accurate and up to date. Collaboration with global IT teams and external suppliers to resolve issues will be a key aspect of your role.

We are looking for an experienced IT Systems Administrator to join our forward-thinking business based in Huntingdon. This is a permanent position that offers the chance to work across multiple sites, supporting a modern and evolving IT environment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, as you will play a key part in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, system security, and infrastructure reliability while working within a supportive and collaborative IT team. The salary for this position ranges from £35,000 to £37,000 per annum, depending on experience. Our working hours are Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week, with occasional out-of-hours work required for system maintenance or support.
