Requirements

Must:
- 5+ years proven experience in a customer-facing technical support role within an established MSP - Excellent verbal and written communication and soft skills - Proficiency in Microsoft 365, Teams, Exchange, SharePoint, Intune, and Autopilot - Experience with VMWare ESX, vCenter and/or Hyper-V - Familiarity with various Backup Systems, Enterprise Firewalls (Sophos XGS), and Email Security Platforms (Mimecast & Symantec) - Understanding of LAN, WAN, VLAN, VPN, and Enterprise Wireless including MFA - Certifications or a technical qualification in IT - Ability to write reports and technical documents - Good knowledge of Sophos, Egnyte, and Ubiquiti is highly beneficial - Exceptional attention to detail - Resilience and ability to work under pressure - Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Responsibilities

- Build a team - Offer technical support to customers via phone, email, or in person - Provide routine onsite visits to customers and manage onsite escalations - Deliver end-to-end project solutions, including implementation, project management, and pre/post-project support - Ensure all projects are delivered and installed within set timescales - Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to operating systems, software applications, and hardware components - Work across technologies including Windows Server, Cloud (Azure & M365), Active Directory, Virtualization, Exchange, and IT Security & Networking - Assist with setting up and configuring computer systems - Conduct software troubleshooting and recommend solutions - Communicate effectively with customers to address their technical concerns - Provide technical support as needed (pre & post-project) - Assist team members by communicating company strategies, team goals, and project deadlines - Identify training needs and manage skill development within the team - Carry out site surveys and create technical documentation - Collaborate with the IT support team on more complex escalated issues - Provide pre-sales support for Directors, communicating with new and existing customers - Facilitate a technical handover to the Service Desk
