We are looking for candidates who have a strong passion for IT and possess at least 2-3 years of experience working as an IT Manager, Network Manager, or Senior ICT Consultant within a school setting. An exceptional understanding of the requirements and responsibilities of working in an educational environment is essential. You should also have experience in upgrading a school IT Network system. Self-motivation, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as outstanding customer service skills, are crucial. The ability to work independently and as part of a team, combined with a proactive approach to identifying opportunities to enhance services, is highly desirable.
Responsibilities
As the IT Manager, you will be accountable for overseeing the management, installation, maintenance, availability, and security of our schools ICT network, which includes both hardware and software infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include managing the schools network infrastructure and ICT-based applications, monitoring and maintaining all key systems—including switches, virtual and physical server environments, Microsoft 365 and backups. Youll provide technical advice, training, and support to staff, ensuring efficient IT operations and handling requests promptly. Additionally, you will line manage ICT support staff, provide 2nd/3rd line support, enforce and monitor adherence to school policies, and train internal staff.

Your role is pivotal in ensuring that our ICT network is optimized for effective teaching and learning while guaranteeing its security and stability. This position is full-time and will require the successful candidate to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
