Requirements
Must:
- Strong communication skills to explain design solutions clearly
- Experience in designing metagame and progression systems
- Deep understanding of mobile games and player behaviour
- Strong system design skills
- Experience designing systems for midcore mobile games, ideally RPGs
- Knowledge of live ops design, progression systems, and long-term engagement
- Understanding of F2P economy design, monetization loops, and product KPIs
- Ability to drive features from concept through implementation and live operation
- Comfortable collaborating across engineering, UX/UI, art, audio, and production
- Awareness of the mobile games market and competitive landscape
- Good understanding of UI/UX principles and player-centered design
- Experience mentoring designers or guiding feature teams
- Familiarity with game engines such as Unity (bonus)
Responsibilities
- Play a key role in shaping the future of the game by driving features that keep players engaged
- Help translate the Game Directors vision into authentic, intuitive, and rewarding experiences
- Drive the design and evolution of key features from concept through to live operation
- Collaborate with engineering, UX, art, audio, and QA to deliver high-standard designs
- Work closely with product, analytics, and live ops to ensure smooth feature launches
- Track feature performance, respond to player feedback, and iterate designs for improvement
- Raise the quality bar for the wider game and help other teams refine their ideas
- Spot opportunities to improve the player journey and pitch quality-of-life improvements
- Keep a close eye on the market and player interactions to validate ideas
