Must:
We are seeking individuals who possess a strong understanding of design patterns, system architecture, and security principles. You should be a seasoned developer with broad knowledge of the React Native programming language, its culture, frameworks, and libraries, capable of solving problems by applying algorithms and appropriate data structures. Familiarity with cloud platforms, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, along with an understanding of infrastructure as code (IaC) practices is essential. Knowledge of security principles, including data protection, identity management, and secure coding practices, is required. Additionally, expertise in DevOps methodologies and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines will be necessary to streamline development and deployment processes.
Responsibilities
As a Software Engineer Lead, you will play a critical role in the software development lifecycle (SDLC), overseeing and implementing new features and functionality while also making changes and improvements to existing services. You will help guide architectural decisions, ensuring that software is scalable, performant, resilient, and maintainable, while meeting both business requirements and quality standards. Providing expertise to solve complex technical issues and offering guidance on the best approaches and technologies will be part of your role. You will contribute to our long-term technology strategy, capability roadmap, and feature roadmaps, as well as evaluate and recommend new tools, technologies, and practices. Building and maintaining relationships with strategic partners and acting as a bridge between engineering teams and other stakeholders will also be expected.

We have an incredible opportunity to join our engineering and delivery team as a Software Engineer Lead. This role can be based in either of our offices and will involve a mix of working in the office and from home. We are open to part-time, job-share, and other types of flexibility. With a competitive salary ranging from £51,300 to £80,000, plus a 16% bonus of up to 32%, we also offer private medical cover, 38 days of annual leave, an excellent pension, life assurance, career breaks, income protection, and 3 volunteering days, among other benefits.
