Requirements
Must:

- Solid experience working as a Senior SQL Database Administrator or in a similar senior-level role
- Hands-on experience with database server security patching
- Strong knowledge of Azure SQL Data Warehouse and ETL or data pipelines (ADF)
- Good understanding of database access management
- Confident with SQL Server Administration, performance tuning, and optimization
- Experience with backups, restores, and recovery models
- Knowledge of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) solutions
- Ability to support Azure PaaS environments
- Experience migrating SQL data
- Strong troubleshooting skills, especially with networking issues
- Scripting experience with SQLCMD and PowerShell
*It would be a bonus if you have SQL certifications, or experience with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or Azure SQL Data Warehouse.*

Responsibilities
- Manage, monitor, and maintain Microsoft SQL Server databases
- Support Azure PaaS databases, including Azure SQL and Managed Instances
- Handle backups, restores, and recovery models
- Implement and maintain High Availability and Disaster Recovery
- Troubleshoot connection issues across servers, firewalls, proxies, and networks
- Carry out performance tuning and optimization to keep systems running at their best
- Advise on and rework existing databases to boost efficiency and cut costs
- Oversee database access and security patch management
- Migrate SQL data from on-premise SQL Server to Azure SQL using Data Migration tools
- Create and maintain scripts using SQLCMD and PowerShell

Description
We are looking for a Senior SQL Database Administrator who enjoys getting involved in complex projects and ensures our systems run smoothly.
