Requirements
Must:
- Relevant degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science) or equivalent experience
- Extensive experience in business intelligence, data analysis, and reporting
- Proficiency in data visualization and BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills to convey complex information to diverse audiences
- Experience in managing projects and leading teams
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines
- Familiarity with NHS data standards and healthcare systems
- Understanding of clinical and operational performance metrics
Responsibilities
- Drive the provision of high-quality, timely, and accurate information for clinical and management teams
- Manage a diverse portfolio of analytical requests, project work, and service improvement support
- Handle unpredictable workloads with competing priorities in high-pressure situations
- Undertake line management responsibilities, including appraisals and coaching junior analysts
- Collaborate with team members to improve information processes and systems
- Provide specialist expertise to support Trust projects as directed by leadership
- Develop an innovative suite of BI reports and analytical tools for service improvement
- Represent the BI team in senior meetings, providing expert advice on data analysis
- Ensure the quality and accuracy of data in Trust information systems
