Requirements
Must:
We are looking for a candidate with strong experience as a Salesforce Marketing Cloud architect and/or administrator. You should have a demonstrated ability to design and deliver scalable architecture solutions that align with business priorities. An understanding of SaaS solutions within a complex enterprise landscape is essential. Familiarity with DevOps methods and automated deployment pipelines is also important. You must possess clear and confident communication skills, with the ability to effectively influence and engage stakeholders. A logical and structured approach to technical problem-solving and documentation is critical. Previous leadership or mentoring responsibilities and experience working across geographically distributed delivery teams are desirable.
Responsibilities
In this role, I will lead the architecture and direction of Salesforce Marketing Cloud platforms and capabilities. I will define and maintain technical standards, frameworks, and reference architectures. Providing technical leadership and mentoring to engineering and delivery teams will be a key part of my role. I will monitor and support platform performance, reliability, and operational integrity. Additionally, I will develop and promote DevOps and CI/CD practices for efficient and secure deployments. Collaborating with senior stakeholders will be essential to support solution planning and architectural decision-making.
Description
This position is based within the Digital Services function and contributes to enterprise-wide architectural governance and strategy. It offers a competitive salary ranging from £47,389 to £56,535, with an added market supplement of £5,653.50 until September 2027. The Open University promotes a hybrid working environment, fostering a collaborative and supportive culture, and provides flexibility in working patterns where appropriate. The role requires a regular presence on campus in Milton Keynes, typically one day per week.
