Requirements
Must:
- At least 5 years’ experience as a Business Analyst
- Background in scientific, environmental, or water data is highly desirable
- Experience in a Microsoft-based environment, including Azure DevOps
- Excellent analytical and documentation skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within project teams
Responsibilities
- Review and analyze existing business processes and data flows
- Identify and propose improvements for efficiency and automation
- Gather and document requirements from multiple departments
- Support projects focused on water quality and enforcement reporting
- Collaborate with ICT teams to design and embed new automated processes
- Use data insights to support informed, evidence-based decisions
Description
We are a leading public sector organization committed to protecting and enhancing Wales’ natural environment. We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst who thrives on improving data processes and driving efficiency. This is a fantastic opportunity to use your analytical and technical expertise to make a real impact within our ICT team, focusing on improving and automating data and reporting processes, particularly around water quality and enforcement projects. Your role will begin by reviewing existing data flows and reporting systems, and you'll help design and deliver smarter, automated solutions that improve how vital environmental data is managed and shared. This position is temporary and ongoing until March 31, 2026, with a potential extension. You will work 37 hours a week, Monday to Friday, primarily remote with some on-site requirements in Cardiff.
