Requirements
Must:
As our GE Software Engineer, I am looking for candidates with advanced experience in Engineering/Technology and Embedded Software Development. Ideally, you should have knowledge comparable to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college, or a high school diploma with relevant experience. Key skills I desire include:
- Proficiency in AWS Serverless Stack, Java 17 (including Spring, JPA, jUnit, etc.), and Node (Typescript/JavaScript).
- Experience with Testing (Cucumber) and various AWS services (Lambda, DynamoDB, SQS, SNS, Fargate, API Gateway, etc.).
- Familiarity with CloudWatch Dashboards and log investigations, Shell Scripting, AWS Code Build, and GitHub.
- Experience with Databases, primarily SQL in PostgreSQL or Oracle.
- Strong Presentation Skills for product demos, participation in requirements gathering, solutioning, refinement, and planning.
- Ability to communicate effectively across functional boundaries, adapting technical content for technical team members, functional stakeholders, and project managers.

Responsibilities
In this role, I will expect you to architect, design, and develop software solutions. This includes working on small modules, large components, or entire embedded software products. Your responsibilities will encompass:
- Serving as a technical leader within your team, guiding processes and promoting best practices.
- Emphasizing analytical thinking and technical expertise to execute policies and strategies effectively.
- Leading small projects with low risk and resource requirements, mentoring less experienced colleagues, and helping to bring teams to consensus on project topics.
- Utilizing your in-depth knowledge to propose innovative solutions that address complex manufacturing processes.
- Collaborating with team members to foster skill development while meeting delivery expectations both individually and as a team.
