Must:
We are looking for individuals who possess an understanding of emerging cyber requirements and security threats. A broad and comprehensive technical knowledge of IT infrastructure and technologies is essential, especially with a specialization in Operational Technology and engineering systems. You should have an excellent grasp of government and industry-standard security policies, standards, and best practice guidance. Experience working in an IT function within a relevant field is also necessary. We require candidates who have defined and delivered secure architecture for systems and services, designed secure solutions with safety in mind, and managed and delivered key cybersecurity projects. You should be skilled in collaborating with key business stakeholders and have experience managing, controlling, and reporting project deliverables to senior management. People management experience is also essential.
Desirable qualifications include professional IT security certifications such as Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), professional architecture qualifications such as TOGAF Practitioner, MODAF, or DoDAF, and Chartered Engineer status (CEng).
Responsibilities
As part of our team, you will lead the development of security-focused architectures for complex engineering solutions, ensuring adherence to agreed requirements and appropriate standards across multiple projects or initiatives. You will establish policies, principles, and practices for selecting security architecture components and take responsibility for major aspects of security control specification, standards, and secure design models within the engineering domain.
In your role, you will produce security-focused design policies and criteria that cover connectivity, interfacing, resilience, recovery, and access. You’ll provide expert advice in engineering regarding other cybersecurity activities, such as incident response. Additionally, you will develop secure architecture patterns for emerging technologies and act as a single point of contact for senior stakeholders regarding cyber security architecture. You will recommend designs and architectural changes to aid risk mitigation and ensure system compliance with internal standards. Planning and delivering related security architectural activities will be a key part of your role, ensuring we meet regulatory requirements and adapt to changes in the threat landscape. You will report on cyber security metrics and continuously seek service improvement opportunities through regular reviews.
