Requirements
Must:
- 8+ years working with backend technologies including Java and Java frameworks
- Expertise in web development and DevOps practices (CI/CD, version control)
- Strong knowledge in security and identity management (IAM)
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools
- Proficient in relational databases
- Familiarity with server-side technologies
- Agile methodology experience
Desirable Skills:
- Understanding of networking concepts (Subnets, Firewall, Load balancing, VPN configurations)
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as GCP
Responsibilities
- Design and build high-scale backend services
- Serve as a technical lead to upskill the team in modern application development
- Ensure the platform remains secure and resilient
- Elevate the teams technical standards and foster a culture of excellence in backend engineering

Our Essex-based team, located between Brentwood and Basildon, seeks a Software Engineer specializing in backend development and Identity Access Management (IAM) for a contract role until the end of December 2026.
