Must:
We are looking for an Information Security Lead (ISL) with a strong background in security management. You should have formal certification (CISSP, CISM, or CRISC) and/or formal training in information security standards and best practices (e.g., ISO 27001/2, COBIT). A working technical knowledge in various domains of IT infrastructure, including data networks, server and desktop hardware, operating systems, storage, and backups is essential. You must have demonstrable experience applying security controls in areas such as Unix/Linux servers, Windows servers, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and data loss prevention. A solid understanding of security protocols, cryptography, authentication, and authorization is necessary. Additionally, experience in strategic planning and budget management, along with excellent communication and leadership skills, is required. Experience in PCI-DSS compliance is also essential.
Responsibilities
As the ISL, I will lead various IT software projects and serve as the strategic lead for security initiatives across our Consortium and member Colleges. My responsibilities will include contributing to strategic planning and budget management, creating and maintaining security policies, and monitoring compliance with these policies. I will act as project manager for security initiatives, provide expert guidance on security matters for other IT projects, and ensure that disaster recovery and data restoration processes function properly. I will also serve as a technical lead for IT and security projects, managing significant security projects and facilitating discussions between sponsors and suppliers to meet project requirements.
